Administrators/users can access a new configuration screen where all tables and views in the database are listed. The setup is shown below.
Step 1 - Grant Permissions
Users MUST have DB EXPORT CONFIG permissions to access the Database Export Config option (System Administrators will naturally have access as well):
Security>>User Administration
Step 2 - Set up Database Export File Path
The File Path gives the user control over the exported file name and folder structure. It is combined with the Database Export Path found at System Configurations>>Company Parameters>>System Constants>>System Interface Codes. The Database Export Path field should contain the location on the server where the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) folder is set up.
System Configurations>>Company Parameters>>System Constants>>System Interface Codes
Example:
Database Export Path: Drive:\\Folder1\\
File Path: Folder2\\...\\filename
Final Export Location: Drive:\\Folder1\\Folder2\\...\\filename
The file extension should NOT be included
Step 3 – Enter Table Descriptions, Set Export Frequency/Enable Export
Administrators/Users can:
- Enter a user-defined Description for each table/view for ease of reference.
- Set the export Frequency for each table/view. The default frequency is 3 Hours.
- Enable the export by checking the Enabled box. The table/view will not be exported if the frequency is set but the export is not enabled.
- Save the input.
System Configurations>>Company Parameters>>System Constants>>System Interface Codes
- The export event runs every 3 hours, starting from 3:00 AM. This event selects all the tables for which the frequency length has passed since the last export, or where the last export date is null.
- The export file is exported to the client’s FTP site (set up by the client).
Step 4 – End User Reporting
The option is also available in End User Reporting for ease of access.
End User Reporting>>Database Export Config:
- The export event runs every 3 hours, starting from 3:00 AM. This event selects all the tables for which the frequency length has passed since the last export, or where the last export date is null.
- The export file is exported to the client’s FTP site (set up by the client).
