The following improvements were made:
1. New User Interface.
2. End User Reports.
1. New User Interface
The report was recreated with a new user interface and a Pay Status filter was added to resolve issues with employee separation e.g. in cases, where, for example:
- the employee’s separation record is entered in the same cycle in which the employee is made ‘inactive’.
- when an employee is separated and rehired within the same year.
- if an employee has two (2) separation records within the same year only one record will be generated in the P45.
- if a separation was done in March and the employee was rehired in October; then the P45 generated in October will show the employee’s pay data including October payments, when it should not.
POWERpay>>Payroll Reports>>Payroll Reports>>Jamaica Statutory Reports>>P45 Enhanced - Income Tax Particulars of Employee Leaving>>All Years:
- Separation Pay Status = Active - the default option, applicable for employees whose separations were posted during a cycle while they were still Active on payroll.
- Separation Pay Status = Inactive - for cases where an employee’s separation is posted during the same cycle he/she is made Inactive on payroll.
- Pay Data Choice = Last Paid Cycle - the default option; select the last cycle with the separation date in which the employee was paid.
- Pay Data Choice = Separation Cycle - for cases where you might want the first cycle in which the separation record was posted.
