Payroll Localized - Barbados - PAYE Monthly Upload Form

PAYE Monthly Upload Form

The report was updated to allow the user to choose either Locked (default) or Unlocked as it relates to the File Formatting of the template.

  • Locked = the template file is used as is - the file protection remains in place and the format of the cells cannot be changed.
  • Unlocked = the format of the cells can be changed.

POWERpay>>Payroll Reports>>Payroll Reports>>Barbados Statutory Reports>>PAYE Monthly Upload Form:

1.  File Formatting = Locked

The template file is used as is - the file protection remains in place and the format of the cells cannot be changed.

2.  File Formatting = UnLocked; Date Cell Formatting = Default

The Default option keeps the default cell formatting of the file.  However, a Data Validation error occurs when the Date data is uploaded in the format MM/DD/YYYY, as Excel treats the data as text:

There are two (2) options to fix the Data Validation error in Excel, if necessary:

  1. Select and edit each field to Short Date OR select each field in the Formula bar so that Excel updates the data type to Short Date.
  2. Use the Custom Format (described below).

3.  File Formatting = UnLocked; Date Cell Formatting = Custom

Excel’s Validation Errors do not occur with the Custom formatting.  However, the Custom formatting would need to be manually changed to Date.
