Appraisals - Appraisal Job Group Option and Job Family/General Improvements

The following updates were made to:

  1. Appraisal Job Group Option and Job Family.
  2. General Improvements.

1. Appraisal Job Group Option and Job Family

The character limit for the Job Family Description field was increased to sixty (60). A new error message was added when deleting a Job Family which contains Jobs.

General improvements/new features were made as shown below.

2.1 Responsibilities

The Tasks screen was renamed to Responsibilities.  The Responsibility record will be automatically updated when data is entered/updated via the Primary Responsibilities Standards tab.

2.2 Competencies

Import functionality was added.

2.3 Primary Responsibilities

The Download Template was updated to import Standards and Primary Responsibilities weighting is now restricted to a maximum of one hundred (100) per job.

2.4 Job Competency

Job Competency weight is now restricted to a maximum of one hundred (100) per job.

2.5 Competency Standards

Multiple rows can now be entered for Competency Level Standards.

2.6  Ratings

A new option, Use Rating Standard For….Competency…Overall Ratings, was added.  Depending on the option flagged, the long or short version of the Rating Standards description will be displayed in the Competency, Overall Rating and Appraisal Details screens.

Step 1:  Flag Competency and Overall Ratings.

Step 3:  Enter Competency Level Standards

2.7  Appraisal Events

Two new features were added to Events.

  1. Employee Self-Appraisal: check this box to allow employees to view their appraisals via Employee Self Service, Home>>My Profile>>My Reviews.  The field is disabled by default.
  2. Temporary appraisals are generated when an Employee Appraisal event is created.  HR views/edits and finalizes the appraisal after which the actual appraisal is sent via the Send Appraisal Form button.  The appraisal is generated in Normal Unarchived and the respective employees/managers are notified.  The Temporary record is moved to Temporary Archived.

Step 1: Create HR Events

Talent Management>>HR Events>>Manage Events>>Events

Step 2: Send Appraisal Form

Talent Management>>HR Events>>Manage Events>>[Select Event]>>(+)>>Temporary>>[Send Appraisal Form]

Step 3:  Update Appraisal Status

To archive a Temporary appraisal, select Archived in the Status dropdown list and click Save Comments.

Temporary Archived Appraisals records can be found via:

To Archive a Normal appraisal, select Archived in the Status dropdown list and click Save Comments.

Step 4:  View Appraisal (Employee)

The employee can view their Appraisal via:

Home>>My Profile>>My Reviews

Step 5:  View Appraisal (Manager)

Employee Details, Leave, Punctuality, Training History, Discipline and Position History can be viewed from the Appraisal Details screen.  Appraisals are now linked in Manager Self Service.

User Self Service>>Manager>>Talent>>Appraisals>>[Select an Event]>>[+]>>Appraisal Details

Step 6:  Print Appraisal

The Company logo was added.
