How do I link a Pay Group to the Statutory Rules?

Pay Group Statutory Link

Specific statutory rules may apply to different pay groups thus allowing you to run payrolls for different countries on one system.

In this screen, country specific statutory rule codes can be linked to different pay groups.

Pay Group: Select the pay group to which the statutory rules are to be linked.

Pay Group Name: The pay group name will appear once the pay group code is selected.

Region: Options available for selection are:

  1. Caribbean - English
  2. Caribbean - French
  3. Caribean - Dutch
  4. Caribbean - Spanish
  5. Central America
  6. South America

Country: The list of countries appearing for selection is automatically filtered based on the Region selected above. Select the country you wish to link to the pay group.

Statutory Rule Code: The list of Statutory rules available to link to the pay group is automatically filtered based on the Country selected above. Select the rule to link to the pay group.

Order of Calculation: This tells the system which statutory deduction is to be processed first, second and so on. This varies by country and must be accurately setup to ensure the correct calculation of deductions. Enter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.

Deduction: Select the deduction code that you wish to link to the statutory rule. This deduction is country specific and will be processed in the payroll. The statutory deduction code will be printed on all pay slips, registers, etc. A separate deduction code must be created for each statutory rule.

Save the record and repeat to link additional statutory rules for the pay group.
