Entities

An entity is a unit within an organisation. In HRplus there are four levels of entities:

  1. Company Level
  2. Division Level
  3. Department Level
  4. Section Level (Sub-Departments)

Create a New Entity

Here, you will set up your company’s unique organisation structure.

  • Select New Record, and in the pop-up box, select the Entity Level you wish to enter. Create a code for the entity that is reflective of its name (can be up to 8 characters in length), enter the entity’s name and an Account Segment Code if used.
  • Click on the diskette icon to save.
  • Repeat as required to enter additional records.

Level: Select the appropriate level for the entity you are creating.

Entity Code: Enter a user-defined code for the entity.

Entity Name: Enter a user-defined entity name.

Account Segment Code: Enter your account segment code.

Note, the setup needs to include all four levels of entities i.e. Company, Division, Department and Section.

If your company’s structure does not include an entity e.g. Divisions or Sections, you do not have to enter any further data as the ‘ N/A’ Code and ‘ Not Applicable’ Description will be used to build your organisation’s structural hierarchy.
