How do I add a new earning or deduction type?

To add a new earning type:

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Payroll Setup > Earnings > Earning Type Listing.

  2. Click New Record and enter the earning details: Code, Description, Taxable (Yes/No), Earn Factor, Earn Category, Pay Type, etc.

  3. Link the earning type to the relevant companies by navigating to Maintenance > Payroll Setup > Earnings > Link Earning Type to Company.

To add a new deduction type:

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Payroll Setup > Deductions > Deductions Listing.

  2. Click New Record and enter the deduction details: Code, Description, Affects Employee/Employer NIS, Affects Pension, etc.

  3. If the deduction is a Net Pay deduction, set up the deduction details in Maintenance > Payroll Setup > Deductions > Net Pay Deductions.
