Setting up an Organization's Hierarchy

  • In the pop-up box, select from the relevant drop boxes, the Primary Entity’s Rank, the Primary Entity’s Name as well as the Secondary Entity’s Rank and Name. Click on the diskette icon to save.
  • This example illustrates the Company of Banda Furnishings Ltd. is linked to the Division of Administration. The Division of Administration is then linked to the Department of Human Resources and the Department of Human Resources is, in turn, linked to the Section of Training & Development.
  • To save the record, use the diskette and repeat as required.

This tab allows for the linking of your previously created entities. Linkages should be aligned to your current company structure. If you do not have, for example, Divisions or Sections within your company’s structure, simply use the N/A option.

Note, ALL entities MUST to be linked i.e. a Company must be linked to a Division which must be linked to a Department which, in turn, must be linked to a Section.

Now that you have built your company's basic structure into the application, it is imperative that you are given Security access to it.

If you have access to the Security Module, ensure that, for your User ID, you Grant Access to All Companies, Divisions and Departments.

If you do not have access to the Security Module, kindly contact your System Administrator to do so for you.
