How do I set an employee to “Inactive” on the Payroll?

  • On the insert of a salary change for new and rehired employees (How do I enter a salary change for an employee?, the system will automatically generate a record, in Cycle Changes, to make the employee Active on the payroll - a PAY PROFILE A ACTIVE cycle change entry.
  • On the insert of a termination record for an employee, the system will automatically generate a record, in Cycle Changes, to make the employee Inactive on the payroll - a PAY PROFILE I INACTIVE cycle change entry.

Non-Salaried Employees are automatically set as Inactive on the payroll and   will become Active ONLY when  Earning/Allowance/Other Income  cycle changes are entered for them.

How do I verify whether an employee is salaried or non-salaried?

A PAY PROFILE  S STATUS CHANGE I  INACTIVE cycle change entry should be entered for those employees who are not to be paid.
