How do I process Regular Pay in hours?

Updated on

To cater for employees who are paid by the number of hours, enter the following cycle changes.

POWERpay>>Process Payroll>>Cycle Changes

The system will multiply the number of hours in the Amount column by the Earn Factor in the Earnings screen, then by the employee's Unit Rate in the Employee Pay Profile screen:  Amount (Hrs) x Earn Factor x Unit Rate.

The above cycle change should be entered for employees who have worked for an Alternate or Acting Rate.

The system will multiply the number of hours in the Amount column by the Earn Factor in the Earnings screen, then by the employee's Alternate Rate as indicated:  Amount (Hrs) x Earn Factor x Alternate Rate.

The system will multiply the Hours Worked by the Earn Factor in the Earnings screen for the particular Earning Type:  Amount (Hrs Worked) x Earn Factor (CL1).

In this instance, the Earn Factor is a $ amount.
