How do I enter salary increases?

Updated on

Salary increases may be considered as:

  1. permanent - resulting from promotions, salary negotiations or collective agreements; OR
  2. temporary - NOT resulting from promotions, salary negotiations or collective agreements etc.

POWERpay>>Process Payroll>>Cycle Changes

These cycle changes will process the amount indicated at every cycle until and unless it is changed.

T TIMESHEETS REG REGULAR PAY T TOTAL AMOUNT:  when entering this cycle change T TOTAL AMOUNT must always be used in the Entry Type field.

Salary increases are usually entered by HR via Personnel>>Transactions>>Salary Changes.  These records will automatically trigger (once so defined) P...PAY PROFILE...SC...SALARY CHANGE and T...TIMESHEETS...REG...REGULAR EARNINGS...T...TOTAL AMOUNT cycle change records thereby eliminating the need to manually enter the above cycle change records.  These system-generated cycle changes will display SC in the Batch No. field.
