Bi-monthly payrolls are:
- processed twice per month resulting in 24 pay cycles in a year.
- divided into odd and even pay cycles:
Odd cycles are Cycles 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23
Even cycles are Cycles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24
If you wish to enter deduction amounts that are different in Odd and Even cycles, do the following:
1. To enter deductions in 'Odd' cycles
POWERpay>>Process Payroll>>Cycle Changes
F First Cycle of a bimonthly payroll is applicable to only Odd pay cycles (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23).
The deduction will be processed in all Odd pay cycles of the bi-monthly payroll.
2. To enter deductions in 'Even' cycles
POWERpay>>Process Payroll>>Cycle Changes
O Second Cycle of a bimonthly payroll is applicable to only Even pay cycles (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24).
The deduction will be processed in all Even pay cycles of the bi-monthly payroll.
The cycle changes only apply to bi-monthly payrolls and should only be entered for deductions that are different for Odd (first) and Even (second) cycles in a bi-monthly payroll.
If the deduction is the same for both Odd and Even cycles, simply enter a New deduction.
