How do I indicate which Goal Option is being used?

Appraisals>>Performance Setup>>Appraisal Options

Appraisal Options

Select the module from which goals should be retrieved and displayed on the employee’s appraisal form.

Any restrictions applied here determine which goals are displayed on the Appraisal form.

This option is only required to be set up if Goals are being used in the appraisal process. If only Primary Responsibilities or Competencies are being used, then this step can be skipped.

Appraisals>>Performance Setup>>Appraisal Options

Company: Select the company for which the module used is being defined.

Staff Type: If different criteria are used during the appraisal process for the various staff types, then select the staff type and the appropriate module that is being used. E.g. Managerial staff may have Goals setup via the Goals Module used in their appraisal process while other staff may not. Please note that these restrictions impact on the appraisal form and there will be variances on the appraisal forms for the staff types selected.

Leave the Staff Type field blank so that the option selected will apply to ALL employees of the selected Company.

Which Module:

  1. Goals Module:   This option uses the employee goals that cascade from company goals and set up via Talent  Management>>Goals>>Employee Goals. Only select this option if the Goals module is being  used.
  2. Job Goals:  This option uses the goals that comprise the job profile and set up via Personnel>>Setup>>Organisation>>Organisation Setup>>Structure>>Jobs [expand]>>Job Goals.
  3. Goals Module and Job Goals:  This option mean that the system will retrieve goals set up from both the Job Goals and the Goal module.

Save the record and repeat to define the options for different staff types.
