In HRplus the Leave and the Time & Attendance modules work together to process the leave transactions of employees to pay the correct amount in the Payroll module.
This relationship allows users to update timesheets with leave reasons or enter leave records in the leave module.
An improvement in the Leave and Time and Attendance payment functionality was introduced in the latest release of the application; 2023.02.05.01.
All payments for leave transactions are now managed by the Leave module, including the ones entered in the time and attendance module.
Please note that this change only affects clients that use the leave module to pay the leave transactions or absent records from Time and Attendance by using the Leave - Payroll links
Process Before.
When an employee is absent, the application flagged the record in red. The timekeeper then had the responsibility to NOT APPROVE the record and to enter a leave transaction that corresponds with the absent date on the Leave module to be paid.
Process Now.
The client must have the Leave - Payroll links and the Leave mapping setup in the application.
The timekeeper can edit the reason for the absent record and approve the timesheet. This action will automatically update the employee’s leave record and also create the cycle changes for payment in the payroll module.

Time and Attendance - Timesheets
The leave type chosen under the reason will only allow you to save the timesheet based on the employee’s entitlements. If they do not have enough leave balance under the option selected, the application will not allow you to save the record with that leave reason.

Payroll - Cycle Changes.
Navigation: Payroll>>Process Payroll>>Cycle Changes.
With this improvement, it is required to complete a small adjustment to avoid duplications in the payroll. The Pay group configuration needs to be amended for both salaried and non-salaried workers to only pay "Productive Time Only". Follow the navigation below and double-click on the pay group to edit the record.

Additional notes
1. Updating timesheets will also create/update the leave record.
2. Leave records will automatically update the timesheet with the leave reasons.
