What is the purpose of the TD1 Form (Trinidad and Tobago)?

Updated on

The Tax Declaration (TD1) form is provided by the Board of Inland Revenue to persons with approved contributions for the various categories of allowable deductibles.  This includes:

  1. Alimony
  2. Pension Allowance
  3. Annuity
  4. Mortgage Allowance
  5. Personal Allowance
  6. Child Maintenance

The TD1 informs the payroll administrator of any additional taxable allowances to be entered for the employee to ensure that the Pay As You Earn (Trinidad and Tobago) tax is calculated correctly from the first cycle of the year that the person is paid.
