Readiness Assessment
After a candidate completes their leadership development plan, a readiness assessment helps confirm their preparedness. During this stage, it is ideal to have a comprehensive profile evaluation, including skills, competencies, and any development needs highlighted in earlier assessments.
Evaluating a Candidate's Readiness for Successor Roles
After HR creates the readiness event and rolls out the readiness assessment form, the evaluation process begins with all evaluators receiving a notification that the form is ready for their input. The steps are as follows:
-
Notification to Evaluators
All designated evaluators are notified simultaneously that the readiness assessment form is available for them to complete. Each evaluator can only see and respond to the questions assigned to their role. -
Evaluator Input
Each evaluator completes their portion of the form at their convenience. As evaluators submit their responses, the system tallies the points for their assigned sections in real time. -
Score Aggregation and Final Readiness Rating
Once all evaluators have submitted their inputs, the system aggregates the scores from all sections of the form. The final overall score is used to calculate the candidate's readiness rating, categorizing them as Ready Now, Ready in 1-2 Years, or Needs Development.
This process ensures that assessments are focused and efficient, with each evaluator contributing insights based on their unique perspective. The aggregated results provide a comprehensive and objective evaluation of the candidate’s readiness for succession roles.
