PAYE Monthly Upload Form
The report was updated to allow the user to choose either Locked (default) or Unlocked as it relates to the File Formatting of the template.
- Locked = the template file is used as is - the file protection remains in place and the format of the cells cannot be changed.
- Unlocked = the format of the cells can be changed.
POWERpay>>Payroll Reports>>Payroll Reports>>Barbados Statutory Reports>>PAYE Monthly Upload Form:
1. File Formatting = Locked
The template file is used as is - the file protection remains in place and the format of the cells cannot be changed.
2. File Formatting = UnLocked; Date Cell Formatting = Default
The Default option keeps the default cell formatting of the file. However, a Data Validation error occurs when the Date data is uploaded in the format MM/DD/YYYY, as Excel treats the data as text:
There are two (2) options to fix the Data Validation error in Excel, if necessary:
- Select and edit each field to Short Date OR select each field in the Formula bar so that Excel updates the data type to Short Date.
- Use the Custom Format (described below).
3. File Formatting = UnLocked; Date Cell Formatting = Custom
Excel’s Validation Errors do not occur with the Custom formatting. However, the Custom formatting would need to be manually changed to Date.
