How are appraisal scores calculated within the Appraisal module?

HRplus automatically calculates appraisal scores using a weighted average method.

  1. Individual Type Scores: The employee receives a score for each appraisal type (Goals, Competencies, Primary Responsibilities) based on the manager's ratings and the assigned weight of that type.

  2. Total Score: These individual type scores are summed to arrive at a total score, reflecting the employee's overall performance.

  3. Overall Rating: Based on the total score and the predefined rating bands, the system automatically assigns a final qualitative rating (e.g., Exceeds Expectations, Meets Expectations) to the employee.
